Welcome to the World

Even before he came, I had a feeling that Eagle would be born in the nighttime or early morning. When he arrived near sunrise (actually just before it) this song came to mind, and I knew I wanted to make this montage.
As I listen to the words of the song again and again, I am struck by how applicable they are to the birth of a sweet little soul, straight from Heaven.
The sunrise photo at the beginning is not one we took, BUT it was taken in wintertime about 30 miles from where we live.

As Sung by Cat Stevens

lyrics by Eleanor Farjeon

Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word

Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day

beautiful! I'm so happy for you. (And I can't believe how big my 3 month old looks, compared to a newborn! It's going too fast.)

I love the pics of Eagle napping, snuggled up with the older ones.

I LOVE that song. I first heard it in hymn form at my friend's church, and I had her make a copy of it for me. I really like this pepped up (but still flowy and mellow) version of it. Beautiful video, too. I actually teared up a little! I love the picture of your family at the end, all with matching pants! Does Eagle's diaper match, too?

I am WAY behind on my favorite blogs because we've been so sick for so long, so I just saw this.

BEAUTIFUL! Absolutely beautiful! I just cried all the way through this - what a wonderful tribute to your sweet baby!

God bless your beautiful family! I'm so glad Eagle is here safe and sound.
