Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel.
Scandinavia.
It's like Alaska, only with more culture. Plus my ancestors. And vikings. Mustn't forget the vikings!
(I know, I have a really hard time doing just one picture, don't I. Oh well!)
I know this comment has zero to do with your post but I read this article and immediately thought of you. I am pregnant with my first child so parenting is definitely someting on my mind a lot lately - I know you have a very different outlook on parenting (as do I) than many people do so I was interested in hearing your thoughs on this subject. While many of the rules listed are common sense a few stuck out to me as very out-dated. The one in particular that bothered me was #6 "The world is not interested in what you dislike. Keep negative opinions to yourself, or between you and your friends, and out of earshot of adults."
ReplyDeleteI personally want to teach my kids to appropriately communicate whatever they are feeling. Like, dislike, fear, etc. I do understand that constant complaining is something that needs to be taught to children as "inappropriate" but teaching them that they should not complain at ALL? Seems a little extreme to me.
Anyway, If you get time I'd like to hear your perspective on the list :)
